Our first stop on our trip was Brussels. It wasn’t necessarily on our list but made sense to stop there after the Eurostar. We arrived and had a little under two hours to kill before we could check into our AirBnb so walked to a park and made a coffee using the portable espresso maker! Once we’d checked in (and had a gentle rest) we headed off into Brussels to find some food and beer. I didn’t have my camera on me that night unfortunately! We soon found a bar, then a camera shop/gallery selling loads of old analogue cameras”.
The next day, we spent most of it doing various sections of self-guided walking tours, including a ‘comic street art’ tour! But the highlight was definitely seeing “Manneken Pis” (the statue of a small boy weeing) and visiting his costume museum! We polished off the day with a '“Meter of Beer” from Brussels’ “Delerium” brewery and smash burgers.
Overall, Brussels was a nice start! We’ve been on plenty of European City breaks so we’re looking forward to doing something different in the not too distant future!
